I recently started working with Medicine Crow Middle School.  The counselor there inquired about different breakfast options after hearing how Billings Senior High does things.  Her simple question really got the ball rolling.  The Principal, Nikki Hofmann, jumped right on board!  They decided that a Second Chance Breakfast would work best for the school.

I began working on promotional efforts in the beginning of December.  I made flyers that are hanging throughout the school, I spoke at a meeting to the entire teaching staff about my VISTA role, goals, and what a Second Chance Breakfast entails.  After consulting Principal Hofmann, we decided that it would be helpful if I could type up a follow-up letter and distribute them in the teachers' mailboxes, as well as a short letter to parents explaining the new breakfast addition.  To give teachers an easy tool to explain Second Chance Breakfast to students, I made a short PowerPoint that was shared with all homeroom teachers to use.

The new program launched on January 3rd and I can't wait to see what the rest of my term will bring!
